Technology

Worldlink ITS (Part of the Worldlink Group) own the fundamental process and method for sending changing data efficiently across mobile telecommunications networks. Initially developed to deliver financial information to a mobile computing device, the techniques are in fact applicable to any changing data.

At Worldlink we intend to capitalise upon our patented technology through a licensing program by:

  • Offering a license to companies who have incorporated the Worldlink technology into their products;
  • Marketing of licences where a company wishes to use the process with their own technology;
  • Marketing of licences offering the Worldlink technology allowing companies to create their own products.
  • The deployment of the patented technology in the financial sector is our key target. However the patent can be applied equally to other industries.

The patented process and method maximises the effectiveness and minimises the cost of transmitting changing data to mobile devices. The process is clever yet quite simple in its execution:

  • A database of changing data, such as share prices and trades, is connected to an application;
  • The application is connected over a mobile telecommunications network to a mobile device;
  • When first connected the mobile device is populated with data against a user defined profile, for example, a portfolio of stocks and shares;
  • Thereafter only changes to the data are sent, and they are sent automatically.

This process means that changes are sent without delay and only the changed data is transmitted, once the user has requested it, thus maximising effectiveness and minimising cost by keeping bandwidth usage as low as possible.
