Worldlink's patented process allows an initial download of a set of data selected by the recipient which is automatically updated as individual items change. A prime example of this would be the recipient selecting to view the current price of a portfolio of stocks; the price will automatically update when there is a change in the market price. Once the change occurs the new data is immediately pushed to their device.

The process is not restricted to financial data, it applies to any type of profiled changing data, for example sports results, gambling and gaming data and travel information.

The company has identified over several sectors and the process is independent of the types of mobile telecommunications network.

The method is patent protected in the US and UK and is patent pending in Europe. The existing patents became effective in 2000 and remain in force until 2020.
